RKR & BC First examine the flawed selection of BC’s new Premier-designate

On the heels of the squeaker elevation of broadcaster-politician-soccer Mom Christy Cark to be BC’s next Premier, RoadKill Radio has exposed several serious flaws in the process of that election. On RKR’s March 1 broadcast, BC First leader Chris Delaney joined Kari Simpson and Terry O’Neill in studio to inform listeners and viewers of the two major concerns:
1 –Foreign influence in BC politics
2- Confusion in the Liberal Party’s voting procedure

Vancouver researcher Vivian Krause, by studying documents filed in the USA, found that The Tides Foundation, an arm of billionaire Leftist financier George Soros’ political network, through the Seattle-based Wilberforce Foundation, may have been behind money poured into the coffers of “Organizing for Change”, a BC-based group of environmental extremists devoted to stopping tanker traffic on the BC coast…full story

ALERT! Parents urged to pull kids to protest BCTF’s ‘Day of Silence’ & ‘Anti-homophobia Week’

A British Columbia group has urged parents to take their children out of school to protest “indoctrination” of students by the BC Teachers’ Federation (BCTF).

At the heart of the issue are BCTF’s support of the pro-homosexual “Day of Silence” April 15, and “Week Against Homophobia” May 17-21.

But Parents for Democracy in Education did not just urge parents to pull their children during those events; the PDES “Parents’ Alert” issued March 4 stated: “The very best action for concerned parents is to pull their children completely out of the tax-funded indoctrination centres that are wrongly called ‘schools’.” …full story

‘Experts’ say pedophilia is just another sexual orientation; what will that mean?

Brian Rushfeldt was close to apoplectic when he was interviewed March 1 on RoadKill Radio. But the Executive Director of Canadian Family Action was still articulate, clear and very common-sensical about the outrageous testimony given by “expert” witnesses to a Senate Committee hearing on Bill C-54, legislation to require minimum mandatory sentences for pedophiles.

“They offered no evidence, only their own opinion,” said Rushfeldt.

He pointed out that one of the “expert” witnesses, Professor Hubert Van Gijseghem of the University of Montreal, who said that pedophilia is “just another sexual orientation”, had given similar ungrounded testimony before parliamentary committees before—always with a slant that supported the contention of pro-‘gay’ activists that in sexual matters, “anything goes.” …full story

Got your second job yet? Your third? BC Hydro rates to rise 50% in 5 years!

How Liberals thank their big corporate supporters: trash public agencies, then privatize them on the cheap

In-studio guest Chris Delaney, leader of the new BC First Party, said on the March 1 broadcast of RoadKill Radio that corporatist policies of the Campbell government are behind the announcement that BC Hydro needs to raise rates 50 percent over the next five years.

“It’s combination of issues,” said Chris Delaney. “The Liberals’ 3P policy, and their commitment to privatization; run-of-river; the ‘green’ agenda…

“There’s nothing as green as hydro power, in terms of emissions. The only problem with ‘run-of-river’ is that they’re giving it to GE and other American companies…. And the price they pay for it is double what’s on the market… Sometimes, BC Hydro is paying nine times as much…

“I have to give credit to Rafe Mair and others, who have been on this issue for a long time…

Is Christie Clark a bad Canadian? Ten things that identify a ‘bad Canadian’

In our desire to be helpful, RoadKill Radio on its March 1 broadcast offered a guide: How to Spot a really ‘bad Canadian’:

10 – Radio talkers (e.g., Christy Clark) who try to bully people into injecting their kids with an experimental vaccine for an imaginary pandemic. (See Swined, Swooned and Swindled, RKR Fall, 2010)

9 – Someone who accepts $20,000 (e.g., Clark, again) for a political campaign from a lobbyist/non-lobbyist who at one point represented both BC Rail and CN Rail during the tainted sale of public assets from one to the other… full list here

He pointed out that one of the “expert” witnesses, Professor Hubert Van Gijseghem of the University of Montreal, who said that pedophilia is “just another sexual orientation”, had given similar ungrounded testimony before parliamentary committees before—always with a slant that supported the contention of pro-‘gay’ activists that in sexual matters, “anything goes.”

Rushfeldt pointed out that if pedophilia is “just another sexual orientation”, it cannot remain in the Criminal Code, since previous Supreme Court rulings and parliamentary inertia have allowed “sexual orientation” to become a protected category under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

In 1981, when the Charter was being drafted, an MP named Jean Chétien—who would later be Prime Minister of a Liberal government that legalized same-sex “marriage” and allowed the protection of “sexual orientation” to become a protected category—said in a committee hearing, “That phrase (“sexual orientation”) doesn’t belong in any law, because nobody knows what it means!”

The term remains undefined in Canadian law.

If it is now re-defined to mean any activity involving anyone’s genitalia, pedophilia – one of the most odious offenses against innocent children – would be swept under the deformed Charter’s protection.

The change to the Charter, as listeners to RoadKill Radio have previously learned, was in fact unconstitutional: it was a ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada that changed the Charter; but since the Charter is entrenched in Canada’s Constitution, that means the SCOC was amending the Constitution from the bench. The Constitution, however, includes a carefully-written formula for its amendment—and the Supreme Court is nowhere mentioned.

The Constitution, in short, does not give the Supreme Court the power to do what it did. The court was acting ultra vires – beyond its powers.

Perhaps one day Canada will elect a Parliament that includes MPs with the courage to restrain the Supreme Court, and command it to get back into its limited constitutional role.

RKR co-host Terry O’Neill commented: “There was a time… when it was seen that there was one, common-sense, natural way of having sexual relations—and everything else was seen as deviant behaviour. We’ve now got an ‘expert’ talking about a society that would, in effect, ban heterosexual behaviour… he’s saying that pedophilia is just a sexual orientation.”

Brian Rushfeldt’s response: “The guy is an absolute nut-case!

“If anyone paid any attention to the foolishness of these professors—neither presented anything besides their opinions… somewhere that’s going to be argued in court: ‘It’s my sexual orientation, you cannot jail me for that!’

“It’s frightening to think we have professors in our universities who put forward these ideas… I challenged committee to require these people to bring forward some evidence; because they cannot.”

Said co-host Kari Simpson: “We’re ’way beyond half-way down the slippery slope. We saw that with the transgender bill: the NDP claims that sexual orientation is a fluid state, but they also claim it cannot be changed… The NDP is at it again: they’ve put forward a bill to legalize anal sex at 16.
Yet we’ve also had ‘gay’ activists wanting more money because of the medical consequences of homosexual ‘sex’. It’s utter nonsense!”

Rushfeldt said Bill C-54, which has passed through committee unchanged and will now come before the House of Commons for third reading, is “less than what we need, but better than what we’ve got.”

If it passes third reading in the House, Bill C-54 will go to the Senate; if there is an election before C-54 gets through the Senate, the bill will die on the Order Paper.

RKR staffers suggest that everyone write, phone, or e-mail your MP and ask them to support passage of this bill; then write, phone or e-mail the Senators from your province and require their support. Next phone, email or tell your family members and friends that they need to get involved in their democracy, protect children and the values of a civil society!

PDES urged parents instead to consider home-schooling, which the group says produces better results both academically, and in terms of socialization and transmission of the culture from one generation to the next.

Two years ago, PDES sent a reporter to cover a BCTF “conference” in Abbotsford instructing teachers how to incorporate BC’s infamous Corren Settlement Agreement. The report stated that one conference speaker, Fraser Valley University professor Martha Dow, repeatedly called Christians “the enemy”; and reproduced a BCTF handout that indicated the teachers’ union goal to manipulate student attitudes towards homosexuality from “revulsion” to “celebration” Although PDES distributed the news report on that conference widely, none of the “downstream media” carried the information to the public.

The BCTF’s “Code of Ethics” specifically states that the classroom must not be used to indoctrinate students, and PDES says the teachers’ union has violated that code by promoting acceptance of homosexuality.

1—Foreign influence in BC politics
Vancouver researcher Vivian Krause, by studying documents filed in the USA, found that The Tides Foundation, an arm of billionaire Leftist financier George Soros’ political network, through the Seattle-based Wilberforce Foundation, may have been behind money poured into the coffers of “Organizing for Change”, a BC-based group of environmental extremists devoted to stopping tanker traffic on the BC coast.

RoadKill Radio researchers found that $20,000 was donated to the campaign of Premier-designate Christy Clark by sometime lobbyist and former Liberal campaign chairman Patrick Kinsella, who was involved in the sale of BC Rail to CNR—acting, at various times, for both the buyer and the seller.

Mr. Kinsella’s Vancouver-based political counsel firm, Progressive Strategies, has the same name as an American Political Action Consulting firm, named: Progressive Strategies. Progressive Strategies, U.S., has a posted this website motto: Fully-Intergrated Issue Campaigns With a Political Punch, and boosts radical Leftist clients like ACORN, PAW (People for the American Way), Pro-Choice America and Planned Parenthood.

The Kinsella firm gave $54,000+ to the BC Liberals between 2005 and 2009. Its American namesake publishes a PowerPoint presentation and booklets on its web-site, telling Leftist politicians how to use fake “family values” and seemingly “conservative” economic talking points to lure voters to their anti-family policies.

BC Firstparty leader Chris Delaney has asked Elections BC to investigate the money trail of foreign funding of the selection of a new BC Premier.

On RoadKill Radio, Mr. Delaney told Kari Simpson and Terry O’Neill: “A group out of the United States called The Tides Foundation USA—a big umbrella organization—billions of dollars—that people like George Soros, the Rockefellers, Bill Gates and others… use to engineer… and influence elections in other jurisdictions…

“All of a sudden policy is being driven by people outside the province… we (BC First) reported the story to Elections BC and asked what could be done…

“The Chief Electoral Officer… responded to me this morning on the third go-round: ‘Elections BC has no jurisdiction to interfere or to be involved in how a political party conducts its leadership contest’… short of breaking the actual law, they don’t get involved…

“In terms of financing a political candidate for office or a political party, again, Elections BC has very little to say… a foreign jurisdiction can donate money, can be involved… it has to be reported as an election expense…

“But in this case, what [Soros’] Tides [Foundation] did was, they gave the money to the Wilberforce Foundation (of Seattle), which gave money to Organizing for Change in BC; what they did was, they sent out letters to 28,000 [people in BC] mostly activists from the Left—environmental activists—to join the Party… to stop tanker traffic off the coast of BC…

“Chief Electoral Officer said that if there is a discrepancy after the reports are filed, they would act on that…

“This group—Organizing for Change—did not do what they did on behalf of the Liberal Party; they did it on behalf of themselves. They said, ‘You guys go out and join this Party so you can elect a Premier who will stop tanker traffic (because that’s their issue) off the coast of British Columbia.’

“They’re completely legally entitled to do that; but I think that’s wrong. I don’t care what the issue is—the issue doesn’t matter; the issue aside, no foreign group with foreign money should be allowed to agitate and to influence an election in British Columbia—especially one, although you may call it an internal election, you’re electing a party leader; but you’re actually electing the Premier of British Columbia; that’s a huge hole in the law and it needs to be fixed.”

2—Confusion in the Liberal Party’s voting procedure
There was also reason for serious concern about the “disaster” of the voting procedure: confusion surrounded the Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) issued by the Liberal Party to allow members to vote on-line. RoadKill Radio learned that a caller to a Vancouver talk show said he got a PIN—but had never been a member of the Liberal Party!

Mr. Delaney pointed out another serious concern: thousands of Liberal Party Members did not get their PINs until the day before the vote; and there could be many who did not get their PIN at all.

“The Liberal Party claims they signed up another 60,000 new members for a total of 90,000,” said Mr. Delaney.

[Researcher Vivian Krause notes that the Liberal Party had 30,000 members in BC before the campaign started; the Wilberforce Foundation in Seattle had nearly 70,000 members. When the campaign ended, the BC Liberal Party had nearly 100,000 members—a suspicious co-incidence.]

“They had 61.8 percent of the people actually vote in the election,” said Mr. Delaney. “Christy Clark won the premiership, or the leadership of her party, by 380 votes total; but 30,000 people didn’t vote!

“Now, that’s very different than a general election, where a lot of people just don’t care to vote; when you sign up for a political party, it’s so you can vote. When one-third of the people who are members of your party—who signed up to vote—don’t vote, there’s a problem!…

“Most of the people—a huge number: tens of thousands—did not get their PIN until Friday… Thousands of those people might have been out of town… What that means is that many people didn’t get to vote. If everyone had voted, that might not have been the person chosen. It was a disaster!”

Kari Simpson asked, “Is the Liberal Party doing anything about it? Is there an investigation? Is Kevin Falcon saying, ‘Wait a minute—let’s re-evaluate this, or have a second look.’?”
Chris Delany replied: “They’re all holding hands under the rainbow.”

American ‘foundations’ influencing
BC’s campaign for Liberal premier?

VANCOUVER, Feb. 26, 2011 (RKR) — BC blogger and researcher Vivian Krause, who has already traced money flowing from several U.S.-based ultra-liberal foundations into Canadian policy debates, told RoadKill Radio Tuesday night that she has found suspicious cash-flows across the border into the BC Liberal Party’s campaign to choose a new leader, and a suspicious coincidence in Liberal Party membership numbers.

“Before the campaign began, the BC Liberal Party had 30,000 members,” Krause told RKR, “and the Wilberforce Foundation in Seattle had 70,000 members. When new memberships closed, the BC Liberal Party had 100,000 members.”

Multiculturalism destroying Canada’s
Culture and economy: Lowell Green

VANCOUVER, Feb. 26, 2011 (RKR) — Canada’s “multiculturalism” policy is hurting Canada economically, and threatens to obliterate Canada’s culture, Ottawa broadcaster Lowell Green told RoadKill Radio Tuesday night.

“Every immigrant costs Canada $6,000 a year,” Green said. “But even worse is the impact on Canadian culture; we soon won’t have a culture we can call ‘Canadian’.”

Green has recently published a book, Mayday! Mayday!, in which he attacks the multiculturalism policy introduced by Pierre Trudeau 40 years ago.

“Immigration changed totally in 1990,” Green said. “Until then, for every non-European who came to Canada, about 4 Europeans came, reinforcing Canada’s European Judeo-Christian heritage. Today, for every European immigrant—including those from the USA—we get five non-European immigrants. We’re soon going to have a country that will be Middle Eastern, African or Asian—but not Canadian.

Elections Canada costs soar as votes lag
Spending up fourfold, even as fewer voters cast ballots

RKR News thinks you should know that Elections Canada overall spending, expected to reach $138.6 million this year, is up from $32 million in 1998-1999. If an election is called, the cost will grow by ±$350 million more.

The portion spent on programs—which goes toward enforcing party financing rules, public education and redrawing electoral boundaries, among other things—has swelled more than tenfold since the late 1990s. It’s expected to soar to $30.9 million by the end of this fiscal year, from $2.6 million in 1998-1999…Full PostMedia story here!

Krause has been investigating foundation funding in US tax returns. She has found a campaign called Organizing for Change, which is a wing of Tides Canada, is getting massive donations from the Wilberforce Foundation.

RKR co-host Terry O’Neill protested the use by radical liberal eco-activists of the name “Wilberforce” (presumably referring to Evangelical politician William Wilberforce, whose 30-year campaign in England’s Parliament succeeded in abolishing slavery in 1830).

Most of the Wilberforce Foundation’s money traces back to James & Rosanna Litwin, said Krause. James Litwin is a co-founder of Microsoft. The foundation has donated laptops for BC Liberal leadership candidates, as well as making cash donations.

Tides Canada has registered $176 million in revenues over the last ten years, Krause added, and has made substantial donations to organizations opposing the Alberta Tar Sands, fighting plans for an oil port on BC’s North Coast, and campaigning against fish farming in BC waters. It has no formal connection to the Tides Foundation of billionaire financier George Soros, but funds nearly identical political movements.

“They now have a $20 million nest-egg,” she told RKR. “If they get 5% interest on that, they have a million dollars a year to fund their political activities.”

She recently had an Op-Ed commentary published in the Vancouver Sun, saying that the Suzuki Foundation should be required to tell the whole story of fish farming. Krause objects to the term “wild salmon”, which puts farmed salmon at a marketing disadvantage. “I call them ‘ranch salmon’,” she says, “because the majority of the fingerlings come from hatcheries and are released into the wild to grow to market size.”

Media release: Police called to prevent leaflet at public forum held on public property!!

February 23, 2011 (Burnaby)—On February 22, 2011 the West Vancouver Police were called to prohibit the distribution of an information leaflet at a public forum, held at a municipal theatre.

The West Vancouver School District and the West Vancouver Memorial Library held a “community forum on Early Learning” featuring Dr Fraser Mustard, a well-known advocate of universal daycare and all-day kindergarten. Helen Ward, President of Kids First Parent Association of Canada handed out a leaflet in opposition to Dr. Mustard’s policy message in the venue’s foyer.

The leaflet consisted of quotations from Dr Mustard, his colleagues, and economists, with sources. It provided Kids First contact information.

A woman who said “this is our event” demanded that Ward leave the premises saying it was a private space and that distributing information without permission was illegal. She loudly warned patrons that Ward was “handing out propaganda” and that they should not take the leaflet. She took the leaflet out of the hands of several patrons.

Ward declined to leave stating that it was a public space. The woman (who refused to identify herself except as Cathy) brought in the theatre manager and a man named Andrew. At this point Ward agreed to stand outside, but was told she must stand on the sidewalk. Andrew phoned the police saying they were “worried” and that Ward had “a partner inside.” Constable Harding of the West Vancouver Police said that the public theatre attached to the public high school was private property owned by the School District and advised Ward to stand on the sidewalk, which she did.

“This reaction to a mild mannered democratic protest shows signs of paranoia. The event promoted a political agenda using tax payers’ dollars. The groups running the event accept millions of public dollars and used space paid for by the public, and then seek to exclude public voices,” says Ward. She goes on: “It is reprehensible to deny free citizens the right of protest—a simple pamphlet, distributed quietly—at a public event, held on public property, using Canadians’ tax dollars.”

“A lot of people who come to Canada have no intention of building this country, or making a home here. There are over 100,000 people in Hong Kong and Macao who have Canadian passports.

“People in Europe are beginning to realize that they need more ‘tribalism’: look at Eastern Europe breaking away from the Soviet Union… France is another example, so is Britain. France wants to be more French, Britain wants to be more British.”

Green cited a recent report that said “Vancouver has become the first Asian city outside Asia.”

“Asian cities are wonderful,” said Green, “but this is Canada.

“Can you imagine them waking up in Paris to read: ‘Paris to become the first Mexican city outside Mexico’? Or New Yorkers being told, ‘New York to become the first French city outside France.’? There would be an uproar! But we read, ‘Vancouver has become the first Asian city outside Asia’, and we don’t bat an eye. Why? Because we’re afraid someone will call us ‘racist’. But it’s not about race. It’s about culture.”

“Iranium” coming soon to theatre near you

Last month the Iranian Embassy pretty well guaranteed a full house for Iranium, a movie exposing Iran’s drive for nuclear weapons. After the embassy protested the presentation in the auditorium of the National Library and Archives in Ottawa, an anonymous threat of violence caused theatre management to cancel the performance.

James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, fumed that “Iran is not going to tell Canada what films can or cannot be shown in Canada!” Feb. 6 a sold-out audience jammed the theatre to see the documentary, which is also sharply critical of brutal oppression of the Iranian people by the ayatollahs.
“Who cares what the Iranians think?” Fred Litwin, founder and president of The Free Thinking Film Society, which organized the screening, told RoadKill Radio. “Canadians need to know that Iran is a brutal regime that funds terrorism all over the world—and they’re trying to get a nuclear weapon.”
Iranian President Mahmoud Amadinejad has threatened to “obliterate” Israel, but insists his nuclear ambitions are “purely peaceful.”

Although more than 120 media—including Canada’s biggest “news” outlets—were given information about a challenge to the new Canadian Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg, RoadKill Radio scooped them all on the story.

The Museum’s capital cost is estimated at $311 million and the Operating budget $3.1 million for 2008-2009; $8.6 million for 2009-2010; $15.9 in 2010-2011; and $21.7 million in 2011-2012. That’s over $360 million, and it’s not even open yet; and more that $20 million a year after it opens.

RKR co-host Ron Gray, who was leader of Canada’s fifth-largest national political party for 13 years, has sent a letter to Arni Thorsteinson, chair of the Museum’s Board, and to Hon. James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage to urge that the Museum’s presentation of the story of human rights in Canada should include the stories of many Canadians who have been abused by Canada’s 13 “Human Rights” Commissions and Tribunals.

Ron’s letter listed 28 Canadian individuals and groups, besides himself and his Party, that have suffered abuse in the one-sided process of accusation and judgment that is not governed by the rules of evidence that are required in legitimate courts; and in all cases, the complainant’s costs are completely covered by the taxpayer, but the defendant must pay his or her own costs.

As author and blogger Ezra Levant has written, “The process is the punishment, innocent of guilty.”

To date, no other news medium in Canada has picked up the story; and neither Thorsteinson not Minister Moore, who had the letter a week before it was released to the media, has replied to the letter.

UBC agency ‘data-mining’ families through kindergarten students

‘Implied consent’ means no parental approval is needed

Kindergarten students in BC are being used to “data-mine” information about them and their families—with or without parents’ consent.

The Human Early Learning Partnership at the University of BC (H.E.L.P.) recently sent a letter to parents of kindergarten students—now that all-day kindergarten has been imposed on BC families—“informing” them that unless the parents go out of their way to meet with their child’s teacher, consent to the data-mining operation is “assumed”.

Helen Ward of Kids First Canada brought a copy of the H.E.L.P. letter to RoadKill Radio’s studio Feb. 1. The letter says medical health and education records are linked in the project, which gathers personal, private data.

The survey seeks information about kindergartners’ physical health and well-being, social knowledge and competence, emotional health and maturity, language and cognitive development, and general knowledge and communication skills. All the information is linked through a “Personal Education Number” assigned to each child; the child’s name is not on the form—but their P.E.N.s and postal codes are, which make it easy to identify each child—and family.

Kindergarten teachers are asked to give subjective answers about each student to eight pages of questions.

“This isn’t real research,” said Helen Ward, pointing out that there are questions teachers cannot answer without asking parents—including “problems at home.” The teachers will have to guess. And some of the questions—like “are there troubles at home?”—are also intrusive.

Several new reasons to yank your kids

or

What the &%@# is going on in the classroom?!?

Recent news reports from Sweden may be harbingers of what to expect in North American schools very soon. A Swedish citizen filed a complaint that the new Sex-Ed film Sex on the Map is child pornography: the animated film depicts a high school math class in which a teacher starts the kids talking about sex; it then shows scenes of teens have sex—in many and perverse permutations.

You can read the full report from The Local (“Swedish News in English”) at:
http://theblogprof.blogspot.com/2011/01/public-ed-swedish-sex-ed-film-reported.html

The story also includes a report that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is sponsoring an MTV series that is really “child pornography” (i.e., child abuse by sexualizing children).

Nudity and oral sex in a Grade Two classroom—with the teacher present!

The American Internet news site OneNewsNow (January 22, 2011) says a male Grade 2 teacher has been suspended after students at Markham Elementary School in Oakland (across the Bay from San Francisco) reported that classmates stripped off their clothes and engaged in oral sex during class. The full report is at:

Also coming soon to tax-funded indoctrination centres (AKA the ‘public school system’) near you:

Compulsory ‘Gender-Bender Days’

Also from the United States comes a report that more and more public schools, to implement promote acceptance of “diversity”, are holding “Gender-Bender Days” during which students are required to cross-dress and pretend they are trans-sexuals/trans-gender or otherwise sexually confused. Ironically, one self-described ‘gay’ student was arrested by local police because she resisted the principal’s edict!

Here’s the website for the “Gender-Bender Days” report (with truly repulsive videos):
http://www.whatswrongwiththeworld.net/2011/01/gender_madness.html

What makes this story important for Canadians is that Barbara Hall (Chief Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission), and James Chamberlain (Assistant Director, BC Teachers’ Federation Social Issues Division), are working like demented beavers to impose a similar brainwashing agenda on students in Canadian schools. Barbara Hall has also been named President of the Canadian Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies (CASHRA), a position that gives her great influence in the ‘human rights’ industry across all of Canada.

Perhaps you remember the BCTF’s infamous “staircase” graphic, which exposed their goal of inflicting—not “tolerance”; not “acceptance”—but celebration of homosexuality and Gender Identity Disorder on public school students (One has to wonder if the top rung of the staircase will soon read “Participation”!). The illustration below was a handout at the BCTF’s February, 2010 ‘conference’ held in Abbotsford to train teachers how to implement the infamous Corren Settlement Agreement; it shows how the BCTF visualizes its role in moulding the minds of your children and grandchildren:

Who are B.C.’s most right-wing journalists and broadcasters?

by Charlie Smith, December 23, 2010

Today, I started musing about the number of conservatives in the B.C. media. This occurred as I was reading a post by one of the kingpins, Tom Fletcher, the Victoria bureau chief for Black Press.

For fun, I decided to create a list of the 10 most right-wing columnists, reporters, and broadcasters in the province. The list is weighted by their influence.

Feel free to fill in the comment form below if you feel I’ve missed anyone or if you disagree with the choices.

1. Harvey Enchin, Vancouver Sun
2. Jon Ferry, Province newspaper
3. Tom Fletcher, Black Press
4. Fazil Mihlar, Vancouver Sun
5. Terry O’Neill, Roadkill Radio
6. Bruce Allen, CKNW Radio
7. Mark Hasiuk, Vancouver Courier
8. Mel Rothenburger, the Daily News in Kamloops
9. Norman Spector, Globe and Mail contributor
10. Mark Tonner, former Province columnist—he’s no longer contributing regular articles, but no list of right wingers in the media would be complete without him.

Happy holidays.

16 November 2010 – TERRY O has a RANT! One that will make you want to rant! Terry wants to know why, when peaceful pro-life protesters gathered at Carleton University a few weeks ago, police put them in handcuffs, led them away and charged them with trespass. But when noisy “anti-racism” protesters barged into the site of a speech by respected writer Christie Blatchford at the University of Waterloo last week, campus police cancelled her address ‘due to safety concerns’ and then took no action against the protesters.

Terry editorializes about this apparent double standard tonight on RKR! (This will be real good!)

CALVIN HELIN, Humanitarian, Lawyer, Author & Activist for Self-Reliance joins us to talk about his work and book, Dances with Dependency, now a six times best seller!
