Kari Simpson and Ron Gray continue their recent discussion with Jim Hnatiuk, leader of Canada's socially and fiscally conservative Christian Heritage Party. As former leader of the same party, Ron Gray has intimate knowledge of the party's history, and his successor Mr. Hnatiuk spells out the current state and plans for the future. Tune in to hear Kari Simpson's rationale for her suggestion that the party would serve the public better if it changed its name to the all-inclusive, all-welcoming (and more accurate) name of "Canadian Heritage Party".

Mark Hasiuk interviews Joe Trasolini, the NDP MLA for Port Moody-Coquitlam. The main topic today is the plan to spend – or should we say over-spend – more than $144,000,000 taxpayer dollars to renovate certain downtown "fleabag" hotels to use as low income housing. As the official Opposition Critic for Housing, Construction, and Business Development, Mr. Trasolini has major problems with this plan, and suggests much more reasonable alternatives. Why is BC Housing Minister Rich Coleman once again rejecting common sense?

In this RoadKill Radio exclusive, Mark Hasiuk exposes the latest shenanigans of Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson. This time, Robertson seems to have strategically placed special friends on the city's Task Force on Housing Affordability who are more than willing to help him turn city-owned property into "affordable" high-rises. But a quick follow of the money raises eyebrows and some very pointed questions about who is really benefiting. Don't count on taxpayers being among the benefactors!

Mark Hasiuk recently broke the story of widespread abuse of Purchasing Cards – company credit cards – issued to hundreds of BC Housing employees and used to run up unchecked expenses with taxpayer money. This scandal is right on the heels of Mark's exposé of another British Columbia housing scandal in which tens of millions of taxpayer dollars were discovered being funnelled through the BC Housing Management Commission directly to the CEO's wife's personal housing program Atira, a program that unapologetically runs de facto brothels in Vancouver's east side. How is BC Housing Minister Rich Coleman defending these obvious and egregious abuses and conflicts of interest? During his re-election bid, not much, of course.

Mark Hasiuk speaks with Laura Robinson, writer and journalist, who alleges in a Georgia Straight article that former Vancouver Olympic Committee CEO John Furlong physically abused students as a high school basketball coach more than 40 years ago. Mr. Furlong strongly denies the allegations and has threatened a lawsuit, but Ms. Robinson sticks to her story and threatens to counter-sue. Hear some very interesting revelations about Ms. Robinson's development of her story.

Ron Gray recounts the period of time in 1997 when Rafe Mair and other talk show hosts on radio station CKNW deliberately silenced a story that other news outlets were featuring in front page headlines and top stories- some for 3 days straight! In an obvious attempt to bolster Rafe Mair’s lies about Kari Simpson, CKNW scandalously kept its listeners from the truth – only presenting Mair’s continuing vilification of Simpson and refusing to inform listeners about the true facts!

Culture Guard charges School Board with promoting hatred

VANCOUVER, April 18, 2012 (CultureGuard) — Culture Guard has filed a human rights complaint against the Vancouver School Board, charging that the VSB has used and promoted in its meetings, policies and its schools, the use of hateful, defamatory and demeaning terminology and has facilitated and endorsed the “Out In Schools” program, a program that is designed to promote hatred and contempt for identifiable groups, contrary to the BC Human Rights Code.

The offensive terms specified include (but are not limited to) terms like “homophobe”, “homophobic” and “homophobia”.

“Such terms are designed to promote hatred and contempt, they are used to isolate, marginalize, and belittle individuals and groups that hold opinions at variance to those of the sex activists within the education establishment,” Culture Guard president Kari Simpson stated. “They have no legitimate use; they give the appearance of medical or psychological terminology, but they don’t appear in recognized medical or psychological dictionaries. They are simply slurs invented for hateful propaganda purposes.”

The Culture Guard complaint asks the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal to instruct the VSB to immediately cease the use of materials and policies “that project, advise, counsel and/or indoctrinate students, staff or the broader community, in any manner, that the terms ‘homophobe’, ‘homophobia’, ‘homophobic’, etc. are acceptable.” It also seeks an official apology from the VSB to “all individuals and groups harmed, belittled, demeaned and/or otherwise adversely affected by the Vancouver School Board’s failure to respect all individuals and groups, by cultivating hatred, ignorance and contempt for their opinions, religious beliefs and/or cultural practices as they pertain to issues directly related to biologically and economically harmful sexual practices and the requirement of students and staff to ‘celebrate’ the aforementioned practices.”

Ms. Simpson is acting on behalf of Chinese Christians but anticipates a number of other groups and individuals will be added if the Vancouver School Board fails to remedy the situation.

Managing editor of Vancouver Xtra homosexual magazine says “we will teach your kids new norms”

BY BC PARENTS AND TEACHERS FOR LIFE
December, 2011

VANCOUVER, Canada, January 2, 2012 (bcptl.org) – Those who said there was a pro-homosexuality agenda were treated with scorn as alarmists before the propagandists for that agenda became as bold as they are now. But we have it directly from the managing editor of Xtra Vancouver: as clear an enunciation of the homosexual activist agenda for the schools as we may have seen anywhere.

In the October 20th, 2011, edition of the Vancouver edition of the homosexual magazine Xtra, the managing editor of that magazine wrote in the online edition:

”. . . the gay rights movement is shifting norms in Canada. And with that comes a message to those who won’t evolve: your outdated morals are no longer acceptable, and we will teach your kids the new norm.”

It may have gone relatively unnoticed, but this boast by a homosexual spokesman encapsulates what so many of those who claim to stand for traditional morality fail to acknowledge: Pro-homosexuality activists are not poor, down-trodden members of a minority who simply want to live their own lives as they choose. They are seeking to change the hearts and minds of our children and our grandchildren. They are seeking to establish “new norms” for our society.

Children and youth are the ones most malleable; hence the all-too-successful drives to establish “Gay Straight Alliances” and to show students films from “gay” film festivals through the organization “Out in Schools.”

It is undoubtedly true that some members of the “homosexual community” simply seek to carry on with their own lives; and, however much we may disagree with their morality, it is not those homosexuals who are posing a direct threat to our children and grandchildren. It is those who seek to use the schools as instruments of indoctrination whose activities in the public sphere we have sought to expose and oppose. These activists, along with those who have gained such a large voice in the media and entertainment worlds, are the ones who are succeeding in changing our society in a way that a decade or so ago would have been beyond most people’s imagination. For those who are not paying close attention it may still be beyond their imagination.

It is hard to understand why the leaders in our society who adhere to a morality derived from Judaeo-Christian sources can have failed as a whole to awaken to the danger posed to the rights of parents and the welfare of children. It is hard to understand why more parents have not raised the alarm and taken measures to protect the children and youth in our schools. Perhaps the bold statement of one of the activists in our own province may serve to arouse more citizens from apathy to action.
