This is the third of our 3-part series dedicated to Vancouver Police Chief Constable Jim Chu, whose police force has once again shown its bias and unprofessionalism in dealing with serious complaints from citizens.
Culture Guard President Kari Simpson presents to Ron Gray inter-office emails from the VPD that prove a personal bias against Mrs. Simpson. Inspector Mario Giardini clearly tells others inside and outside the police department that Mrs. Simpson a liar, which alone is an actionable case of libel.
To compound his error, Giardini calls on “the community” to send “a strong message” to Kari. Isn’t it punishable by law to incite someone to commit acts against another? Will the death threats received by Kari Simpson be traced back to Giardini’s email? Well, not if the VPD investigates.
All the while, the VPD was conducting a sham “investigation” of charges that they made up and attributed to Kari Simpson, further impugning her integrity.
Chief Chu, is the Vancouver Police Department completely out of your control, or do you endorse this behaviour by your subordinates?
This 3-part series is dedicated to Vancouver Police Chief Constable Jim Chu, who needs all the help he can get to put his clown posse straight.
In Part 2, Culture Guard President Kari Simpson details to Ron Gray how the Vancouver Police Department “investigated” charges that were made up by Constable Eric Lott, who – after refusing to take notes, and refusing to accept a detailed written explanation of the charges – later fabricated outlandish charges based on faulty memory, preconceived notions, and web surfing. Yes, Constable Lott Googled Kari Simpson!
Wasting valuable police time (and taxpayer dollars) chasing phantoms instead of clarifying the charges with the complainant – whom they turned away – the VPD ambled through a lackadaisical “investigation” of telephone interviews and Internet searches. They concluded that Lott’s charges were unsubstantiated. Kari Simpson’s charges have yet to be addressed.
Was Marc Emery sold out by the Vancouver Police Department and turned over to a foreign country for allegedly breaking that foreign county’s laws while never leaving Canada? He is currently serving a 5-year jail sentence in the U.S. for – as the DEA admits – political activism promoting the legalization of pot.

In the first of three parts (stay tuned on March 17 and 20 for Parts 2 and 3, respectively), we finally hear the wild fabrication that VPD Constable Eric Lott filed from his shaky memory more than a week after meeting with Kari – and refusing to take her complaint. Having taken no notes, and having virtually no training or experience in taking a complaint of fraud and child luring, Constable Lott admits to relying on Google for much of his report.
In this quick Culture Guard Update, Kari Simpson and Ron Gray touch on four recent topics. First up is the continuing wait to receive a copy of the so-called complaint that the Vancouver Police Department has publicly claimed Kari Simpson filed and they investigated.
