[Please Note: Per these instructions of our WebHost, Bluehost, we have altered the presentation of the following post:]

RoadKill Radio’s original July 17, 2012 webcast was removed from our video server, Vimeo, at the request of a Mr. Flanders. So we reposted it elsewhere. The video on this page is the very one that Mr. Flanders is afraid for you to see!

Here is the description of our original webcast:

Kari Simpson and Ron Gray interview Brian Camenker of MassResistance.com about a recent campaign of harassment directed toward Camenker. Mr. Flanders, a registered sex offender in the State of Maine for the conviction of “sexual abuse of a minor,” has been using the courts to bully MassResistance.com into silence and force him to stop publishing information about Flanders’ illegal activities.

Oddly, Mr. Flanders’ efforts to cover up any attention to his crimes is only attracting more attention to them. Or perhaps attention is what he really wants. RoadKill Radio suggests that Mr. Flanders change his recent tactics and revisit his original conscientious efforts to expose the abuse of children by at least one youth group. Mr. Flanders has the very real potential of once again becoming a hero by saving children from pedophiles and drug abusers.

RoadKill Radio News in no way defamed Mr. Flanders, if that is what he is claiming (he never attempted to contact us with any concerns!). We merely interviewed Mr. Camenker about Mr. Flanders’ recent [unsuccessful] campaign to censor MassResistance.com. Our interview included the fact that Mr. Flanders is a convicted sex offender. The State of Maine verifies this with their own publicly-accessible Sex Offender Registry, which is posted as one of the terms of Mr. Flanders’ conviction. Mr. Flanders voluntarily and without provocation confessed to this crime in writing and personally distributed copies of this confession to the police, pro-family groups, and local media.

Inexplicably, Mr. Flanders now spends his time attacking the free speech rights of news outlets that cite any details of his case – the same details he asked to be made public. In fact, it is in the same spirit that Mr. Flanders cited in his original letter that compels some news outlets to keep his story alive. Mr. Flanders bravely came forth with facts that exposed the sexual and drug abuse perpetrated on gay youth by adults.

It appears that Mr. Flanders’ abuse of the court system has had some setbacks. The same judge who approved a restraining order against Mr. Camenker for posting Mr. Flanders’ letter has now refused to issue any follow-up injunction. The State of Massachusetts – Mr. Camenker’s home state – does not recognize that same restraining order and will not enforce it. And Mr. Flanders’ appeal of his convictions has reportedly been rejected by the Maine courts.

RoadKill Radio News will not be censored. The material in our webcast was factually accurate – verifiably so – and is published on the Internet by several other news reporting organizations that have not been censored.

RoadKill Radio News has invited Mr. Flanders to present his story in an uncensored interview. He has declined the invitation.

[Update: Vimeo has reviewed the situation and has now re-posted the original webcast.]
