Show #102, audio only:

Download Show #102

7:30 – 9:30 pm: That’s right, the WHOLE show is dedicated to the Parental Rights Revolution and ground zero for tonight is the Burnaby School District! A line in the sand has been drawn.

Joining us in-studio to provide some professional insight is TED HEWLETT, President for BC Parents and Teachers for Life, and 35 year veteran of the public education system! RKR believes he knows a thing or two (or 3!) about the politics of public education in BC!!

Some other really important information!!

• The Burnaby Parents’ Voice News Release about Draft policy 5.45

• Burnaby Parents’ Voice Backgrounder for the Media on the BC Gay political agenda

• This is really good!! Parents’ Voice boycott of CKNW News because they are “Skewing the News”!

  1. Thank you RKR for doing this. I’ve been to the rally and read/viewed/heard the media skew the truth and I am so tired of this mis-leading. Your dedication of the 24th show to the Parents is really a great encouragement. I understand the LGBTQ+ issues being proposed but how can two men from a specific group be in charge of my children’s education? No matter what happens in the future I will always be my kids Parent. This does not change. Will these people be around to support our kids 20 years later? I don’t think so. They are young and live for the present. I am not saying Parents are superior to human rights but the supporters of 5.45 need to remember they are still my children at the end of the day. I will not allow BCTF to teach what I do not approve for my kids. I will withdraw my kids and wrote the school board I would be doing so. No response so far from them. Thanks for supporting Parents!

  2. Hi Kari, forgot to mention in my last post that I like your comment on yesterday’s show regarding trying to have a civilized conversation without having to know what the other person does in their bedroom. That was a majority of the comments I heard at the May 10th rally where supporters of 5.45 were shouting. Then it became gay slurs and hatred fairly quickly. The kids are so quick to jump to conclusion that Parents at the rally hate them — not true. I actually love them and would not put up with any abuse or harassment of these young kids and anyone else regardless. I am worried about the “supremacy” of this draft policy and what the kids will do when a group decides to confront an individual and the single individual could be bullied to “belong” by saying that they are one orientation or the other. Would this be considered bullying ladies and gentlemen?  The fact is 5.45 is more counter productive than the district were projecting by releasing these tidbits…yes tidbits. They set out to protect but caused undeniable controversy.  How can the district introduce 5.45 without talking about the behaviors in a bedroom?  What happened to acceptance all around for everyone in our communities PERIOD?
